Krishna Public School, Raipur, Chhattisgarh qualifies for the National Finale of HistoryTV18 CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2019
The Finale will telecast on January 17 at 7:00 PM on HistoryTV18
Raipur, 9th January 2020 : Knowledge, strategy, and smartness were at their very peak as the students of Krishna Public School, Kamal Vihar, Dunda, Raipur, Chhattisgarh made their way to the national finale of HistoryTV18 CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2019 that took place at Amity International School, Gurugram.
Touted as a knowledge-sharing initiative, the pan-India quiz competition organized by CBSE attracts the brightest and the sharpest young minds from various prestigious CBSE schools. More than 4000 students participated in the preliminary interschool rounds followed by semifinals, which witnessed the participation of 45 students from 15 schools. The semi-final round of the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2019 was hosted by none other than the quizmaster Ajay Poonia. The finale of the quiz competition will telecast on 17 January at 7:00 PM and repeat telecast on Saturday, 25th January at 5:00 pm on HistoryTV18.
Gaurja Aeron, Tanishq Parekh, and Utkarsh Aishwarya, who represented Krishna Public School, displayed a great sense of harmony and synergy right from the word go. Krishna Public School competed against Gyan Vihar Co-Edu School- Jaipur, DAV Public School - Gurugram and KMB Vidya Mandir, Kerala in the semi-final where they emerged as winners of the round and qualified for the national finale.
Krishna Public School will now be competing against Sunbeam School - Varanasi, Jawaharlal Nehru School - Bhopal, andSarla Birla Public School - Ranchi in the National Finale of the quiz competition.
Priyanka Tripathi, the Principal, Krishna Public School, said, “The overall experience, not only for the participants but for every student has been memorable. We all watched the live streaming of the semi-finals and could feel the pulse and excitement amongst all our students till the very last moment. We have a quiz club in our school as well but as everyone could not participate, giving all those students the experience of a National level Quiz Competition through the live showcase was overwhelming.”
On the semi-final win, Gaurja Aeron said, “We all have been preparing for this quiz for a very long time and we are glad that we finally won the semis and qualified for the final. It was a very close competition and we were really nervous till the very last moment. We’ve proven ourselves having come such a long way to reach the final, with the experience being no less than enriching for each one of us.”
Another team member, Tanishq Parekh said, “The quiz was nail biting till the very end. We were left with a lot of uncertainty and suspense as to who will be winning this round as the last question was extremely tough having tricked us all. We thought we might lose the round but eventually came out on top and that’s the difference between winning and losing. As a participant, I really enjoyed it and had a very good experience.”
Utkarsh Aishwaryaquipped, “Like my team members mentioned, we made some mistakes and got negative marks for the wrong answer. It was a very close competition for all of us, but as they say all’s well that ends well.We are in the national finale and this is what matters the most to us at the end of the day.”
Schools from all over the country were invited for the quiz competition with the singular objective to inform the present generation of students of importance of the country’s invaluable cultural heritage. The inter-school quiz competition was divided across 6 zones under which 1365 CBSE schools sent their entries via online registration.
