SRO, ESIC, Gurugram Organises Blood Donation Camp
Raipur, 1st October 2019 : On the occasion of birthday of the great revolutionary Shri Bhagat Singh, the Sub-Regional Office of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Gurugram, organised a blood donation camp at its premises in sector 34 near Hero Honda Chowk on 27.09.2019. The blood donation camp was organised with the help of ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Faridabad.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri Ratnesh Kumar Gautam, Director Incharge, SRO, ESIC, Gurugram. And he volunteered himself to be the first donor of the camp. The officers and employees of the Sub-Regional Office and its Branch Offices donated their blood voluntarily. The all the Officers and staff of the Sub- Regional Office, ESIC, Gurugram participated actively and worked relentlessly for the success of the camp.
The nearby industrial units of SRO, ESIC, were also invited and some of the employees of these industrial units also donated their blood. In total, about 75 units of blood were donated by Officers and Employees was collected by the ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Faridabad from this camp.
Sub-Regional Office, ESIC, Gurugram
The Sub-Regional Office, ESIC, Gurugram provides the ESIC services in four districts of Gurugram, Nuh, Mahendragarh and Rewari. There are about 16 lakh Insured Persons under the Sub-Regional Office and the benefits are being provided with an infrastructure of two hospitals, 22 dispensaries (at 13 locations) and four Branch Offices.

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation is a pioneer Social Security organization providing comprehensive social security benefits like reasonable Medical Care and a range of Cash Benefits in times of need such as employment injury, sickness, death etc. The ESI Act applies to premises/precincts where 10 or more persons are employed. The employees drawing wages up to Rs.21,000/- a month are entitled to health insurance cover and other benefits, under the ESI Act. The Act now applies to over 12.11 lakh factories and establishments across the country, benefiting about 3.49 crores family units of workers. As of now, the total beneficiary population of ESI Scheme stands over 13.56 crores. Ever since its inception in 1952, the ESI Corporation has, so far, set up 157 Hospitals, 1500/148 Dispensaries / ISM Units, 815 Branch/Pay Offices and 64 Regional & Sub-Regional Offices.
