Raipur, 9th August 2019 : As we celebrate the 73rd Independence Day this year, COLORS’ Dance Deewane is all geared up to give a tribute to our freedom fighters through an Azaadi special episode. The contestants will bring out the patriotism that every Indian carries in their hearts, through their performances.
On this occasion Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, TapseePannu and Nithya Menengraced the sets of Dance Deewane to celebrate the Azaadi special episode and promote their upcoming film - Mission Mangal. Emotions ran wild when each contestant performed acts that celebrated patriotism and gave fitting tributes to the heroes of our country.
Akshay was thrilled by the performances of all the contestants. The second generation contestant, Vishal Sonkar, performed with a unique propthat caught Akshay’s attention. He immediately decided to go on stage and learned the techniques of this particular formvery quickly and managed to ace it within no time. Another contestant Shaina, rode a bike for her performance, and Akshay was astonished to see it. Being a sport, Akshay Kumar performed this act where he was standing on the bike and askedShaina to ride it. Shaina was thrilled to perform the stunt with Akshay. Commending all the contestants, Akshay talked about how much he loved all the acts. One act that touched his heart was the performance by Tushar from the second genertaion who danced on his song from Kesari ‘Teri Mitti’. He also mentioned that Tushar perfomed the act much better than what he had done in his movie.
Akshay also encouraged the contestants across age groups and also told them that age will never define their performance. He also shared that how excited he was to see them perform several stunts but also requested them to be cautious. His heartfelt words, left the contestants highly motivated.
