The company has identified three targets for acquisition, among which the
company is most keen on a US-based company with significant presence in
emerging markets. A firm from Turkey is already visible, but its true impact is
likely to kick off shortly, said Mr Inder Sharma, Managing Director, Nu Tek
India Ltd.
The company offers services to telecommunication equipment manufacturers,
telecom operators, and third party infrastructure leasing companies for
installing and maintaining telecom network equipment and infrastructure.
The company continues to connect the world 24x7 with an infrastructure that
is capable of supporting both wired and wireless services. In fact, Nu Tek was
amongst the earliest companies to identify the
opportunity in network services arena.
The scope of telecom industry is immense. CRIS Infac believes that the total
subscriber base is expected to grow to over 283 million subscribers by the
end of 2009-10 while the mobile subscriber base is suspected to grow alone
at 32 per cent. The revenue upsurge is equally admirable. From the existing
revenue of $ 1.7 trillion, it is expected to swing to $2.2 trillion with the next
four years. |
