business sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS said, “We at NMIMS
are happy to offer young talented students the opportunity to obtain an MBA in HR, which is
contemporary, business oriented and fulfils the needs of the industry.”
“Our aim of introducing the MBA HR program is to deliver young HR specialists who are trained in
soft skill leadership which is imperative in successful adaptive organizations, added Dr. Saxena.
Robust growth rate in the economy has opened up activity in many sectors which has led to a
healthy demand for HR specialists in many organizations. The current output of HR professionals
from good B-schools is far too short of the industry demand. Therefore, an urgent need has been
felt for talented HR professionals, deploying their skills to hire, manage and retain talent in times of
downturn as well as economic growth.
