primetime band with one additional hour of spanking new programming content between
6 and 7 PM every weekday, Zee TV brings you not ONE but TWO new stories that will
captivate your minds. Unveiling the first of the two shows that hit the exciting new time-
band, Zee TV invites you into the world of lovely Runjhun! A beautiful, simple girl
from Kannauj, Runjhun brings good fortune wherever she goes.

touch! Aptly titled ‘Bhagonwali … Baante Apni Taqdeer’, the show follows Runjhun’s
life as she stays with her insensitive, oppressive uncles and aunts who take her feelings
for granted, subject her to innumerable hardships and exploit her for her special quality
of bringing good luck. Will they connive and conspire to keep her from getting married
and stay locked in their house to keep up their good fortune or will a handsome savior
– a knight in shining armor rescue her in time? Tune in to ‘Bhagonwali- Baante Apni
Taqdeer’ to find out!
On the new primetime slot, Zee TV & Zee Cinema - Marketing Head, Mr. Akash Chawla
said, “Audiences are always on the lookout for superior content and once again, Zee TV
will create a new time slot to engage our viewers so that they enjoy a greater variety of
good shows from 6 pm onwards. With winter around the corner and day’s being shorter,
families are sure to gather in front of their TV screens and it is our endeavour to give
them original content. These launches are symptomatic of a broader change that we hope
to pioneer in viewership trends.”
Lending Runjhun her innocence and vulnerability is newcomer Nivedita Tiwari, a
beautiful face from Lucknow that is bound to bring a smile to your face. Playing the
street-smart Guddu Shukla with aplomb is Zee TV’s own discovery - Himmanshoo
Malhotra of India’s Cinestars Ki Khoj 2004. Interesting amongst the ensemble cast
are prominent, well-established faces such as Rita Bhaduri in the role of Runjhun’s
grandmother and Shashi Kiran as the wicked Lakhan chacha. The show is produced by
renowned writers Khalid-Samidha and Jay Productions. ‘Bhagonwali’ with its fresh main
leads, a slew of noted theatre actors and an interesting plot is one show you do not want
to miss!
