TATA STEEL TO PUT SHARP MINDS TO TEST AT THE REGIONAL ROUND OF TATA QUIZ
15th January, 2011 : The regional round of the Tata Quiz at Raipur is set to grip the minds of the city’s young
crowd. This is the consecutive third year that this event is being held at the state capital.
With 18th January, 2011 being just a few days away, school children have already buckled
their seat belts to test their mettle at this one-of-its-kinds mind games.

This year, the quiz will be held at Shaheed Smarak Bhawan, Raipur. Tata Steel has started
organizing quiz programmes since 2005 with the objective of promoting intellectual pursuit
for knowledge among students, enabling them to emerge as enriched, well informed and
global citizens. By conducting such programmes, the Company hopes to help promote
competitive attitude amongst the students and enhance the spirit of learning.
While the regional rounds of the Tata Steel Inter-School Quiz are being held at Raipur,
Jagdalpur and Ranchi, the finals will be organized at Jamshedpur on 25th January 2010. The
three finalists from these cities will get an opportunity to compete in the finals.
Adding feather to the cap of this prestigious quiz is the fact that this year the prize money
has gone up to Rs 20,000 - 1st prize, Rs. 15,000 - 2nd prize and Rs. 10,000 - 3rd prize as
against Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively.
Tata Steel looks forward to quizzing some of the keenest minds of Raipur during this event.
