Fair & Lovely Foundation invites applications for Scholarship 2011 from across the
country
Empowering the women of tomorrow
Mumbai 14th July, 2011: For a country like India, which is on its way to become the next super
power, it is quite ironical that Census 2011 revealed a startling national average of 914 girls per
thousand boys. In the light of this grim state of affairs unless women are socially empowered there is
only little hope to save the girl child. Education can play a pivotal role in empowering women giving
them the required means to participate in the development process and thereby contribute in promoting
gender equality. Recognizing this fact Fair & Lovely Foundation was established in 2003 opening
doors of hope for girls across the country to pursue their dreams for higher education. In the ninth
consecutive year the Fair & Lovely Foundation invites applications from all across the country to
apply for the Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarship to pursue their higher education (graduation, post
graduation and Phd studies).
