TATA STEEL HOSTS MEGA BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Jamshedpur-04th March, 2011 – Tata Steel today hosted a mega blood donation camp
at the Tata Steel Family Initiatives Foundation at Dhatkidih. A regular activity organised
to create awareness amongst the masses, this year the camp witnessed a collection of
approximately 200 units of blood.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr T P Madhusudanan, General Manager (Medical Services),
Tata Steel. Later in the day, Mr Sanjiv Paul, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel,
also visited the donors and congratulated them for being a part of this noble initiative.
Tata Steel is instrumental in collecting more than 1600 units of blood every year in
association with Voluntary Blood Donors Association and Jamshedpur Blood Bank. About
50% of the blood collected is, in turn, used for the community, in times of need. Besides,
the company also organises awareness programmes regarding blood related diseases, HIV/
AIDS.
