Mumbai, August 26, 2010: It’s time to put those culinary skills to test again as COLORS’ popular cookery reality show Kitchen Champion is back with Season 3 and promises to be three times more spectacular, more enticing and
more engaging. After the successful completion of two rocking seasons, one that saw the leading ladies of the
various shows of COLORS vie for the title, followed by the battle of the sexes in the second season, |

it is now the
turn of the viewers to participate along with a generous and glamorous dose of Bollywood - Juhi Chawla, Raveena
Tandon, Karishma Kapoor and Prachi Desai to name a few. Yes, the third season of the show will see a new
Bollywood star join 20 women participants competing in the kitchen as they showcase their fine art of cooking.
Knorr Presents Kitchen Champion-3Haseenaon ka Elaan-e-jung launched on Monday, August 23rd with Prachi
Desai as the special celebrity guest of the week and will be telecast every Monday to Friday at 1 PM in the ‘Saanjhi
Dopahar’ band on COLORS.
Speaking about the third season, Programming Head, COLORS, Ashvini Yardi said, "After tasting success with the
first two seasons of the innovative cooking reality show, we decided to launch the third season. Season 3 will see
viewers as participants who will battle it out in the kitchen with support from a Bollywood celebrity each week.”
This time around, the contestants will be selected from amongst the diverse spectrum of viewers ranging from
students, housewives and working women to newlyweds and even grandmothers. They have been selected from
across the length and breadth of the country truly representing the diverse viewership enjoyed by the channel.
Through various tasks and challenges the contestants will battle it out amongst themselves to emerge as the
leaders in their pool to have a shot at the kitchen champion ground.
One Bollywood celebrity will join the contestants every week. They will not only act as a guide and mentor but will
also help the contestants during tricky situations and giving helpful tips to keep the energy high. The fun games
and tasks will be designed keeping in mind the celebrity of the week wherein the contestants can also compete for
bonus time and goodies.
The tasks will range from making interesting salads, innovative uses of common household ingredients, instant
snacks and exotic coolers- the flavor of the week being defined by the personality of the celebrity. These challenges will be thrown in by the celebrity and will be integral in deciding the outcome. The main battle though
will be fought on the cooking counter where the contestants culinary skills will be tested based on an elaborate
dish. The celebrity guest will not only help in selection but will also have a veto power in saving one contestant from
certain elimination each day, challenging the contestants and proving to be integral in the journey of finding the next
Kitchen Champion winner.
The charming host Ronit Roy will be the referee in this season as well. “It feels great to continue as the host of
Kitchen Champion in its third season. This time will be more entertaining as the viewers who have played a role
in making the show a success will now get the opportunity to participate in the show. The concept of the show
is highly interesting and innovative, thus I hope to continue hosting a lot of more such seasons in the future.”
