Chattisgarh, Raipur, August 16, 2010: The garden lovers, dairy entrepreneurs, and farmers in Raipur
district can heave a sigh of relief!!! Because, from now all the agricultural equipments they need will be
available under a single roof. Making this happen is Agrimart - the one stop retail chain format of Ratnagiri
Impex Pvt Ltd, Bangalore and part of the Annapurna Group.
Ratnagiri Impex Pvt Ltd., in the service of the agricultural and farming sectors since the past many years,
has in accordance with the demand from the farmers; today opened a new Agrimart outlet in Raipur.
Though this is the first such outlet in Chattisgarh state; and 24 such district level Agrimarts have already
been opened in Southern India. The company has plans to open 300 retail marts across India the next one
year and expand the cities' marts in line with the consumers' demands in collaboration with local partners.
The new outlet of Agrimart adjacent to G. E. Road in city, inaugurated today by Mr. Chandrasekhar Sahu Ji,
Hon’ble minister for agriculture & husbandry Depts., Govt., of Chattisgarh.
More than 50 types of agricultural equipments are available at Agrimart. The farmers can now get
equipments from Oleo-mac, Agrimate, Gulivar, Coima brands and also get after sales service for them
here. The lawn mower, hedge trimming machine, saw cutter, rotary tiller, weed cutter and high pressure
washers needed for industrial cleaning, sprayers and spare parts are available here.
Addressing a media here today, Mr S. A. Gopal Krishna, CEO & Director of Ratnagiri Impex Pvt Ltd
said, “We have been working with agriculturalists for several decades and understand their pain points.
Invariably the agriculturalists travel to major cities not only for sourcing agri-equipments, but also for after
sales service and spare parts. Most importantly in the current dealer centric environment, training in the
usage of equipment is not provided”.
Further, he said, Agrimart is a well thought initiative to serve agriculturalists in an effective manner.
Taking appropriate equipment to the agriculturalists would help the sector modernize, improve
productivity & yield and rationalize production cost. With agri-labour shortage looming large and their
wages spiraling over the last few years, increased usage of farming equipment is the need of the hour. We
